What a trip!! You cannot ask for a more beautiful tour than a drive over the North Cascades Highway.
The scenery is magnificent with mountain lakes, rivers, and miles of wilderness.
We finish the loop with a ride on Amtrak under Stevens Pass as we pass through the amazing
7.8 mile long Cascade Tunnel. Hear the history of the area as you ride along and enjoy the views.

Day 1 (Wed):
We head over one of the most beautiful passes in the nation. The North Cascades Highway is known for its outstanding scenery and wildlife.
We will take our time with stops at such places as Diablo Lake Overlook and Washington Pass Overlook. On the way over enjoy lunch.
We will check into our hotel for two night in Winthrop. Bring your swimsuit if the pool and hot tub are available.
Day 2 (9/10):
Today we have a tour of the Smokejumper Base (if they are not out fighting a fire). After there will be free time in Winthrop for lunch on own
(there is a lot to do including Schaffer Museum, local beer at Old School House Brewery, Trails End Bookstore and much more).
Tonight Freedom Tours will host dinner.
Day 3 (Fri):
Our first stop today will be at the Rocky Reach Dam. This time of year there could be some fish running and we can also visit the Museum of the Columbia.
Lunch will be on your own at the popular Pybus Public Market. Ohme Gardens will fill our afternoon before we check into our hotel for the night.
Day 4 (9/12 Sat):
It is up bright and early to catch our Amtrak ride to Everett where our Freedom Tours motor coach will pick us up for the ride home.
