Day Itinerary
Day 1 (7/6 - Sun) We are off on a beautiful road trip through the Canadian Rockies. Lunch will be on your own in Ellensburg as we make our way to Idaho for the night.
Day 2 (7/7 - Mon) We cross the panhandle of Idaho and travel along beautiful Flathead Lake. Moving into Mountain Time Zone today, we gain an hour. Visit the “center of the universe,” Great Northern Depot, and have a no-host lunch in St. Regis. Spend the night in Kalispell.
Day 3 (7/8 - Tues) We board the famous “Red Jammer” for a trip over the “Going to the Sun Highway” in Glacier National Park. This one-of-a-kind trip crosses the Continental Divide at Logan Pass (6,646 ft) and spans the width of Glacier National Park, offering spectacular views of glacial lakes, cedar forests, and alpine tundra.
Day 4 (7/9 - Wed) Head to Drumheller, located in the Badlands of Alberta, known for its stunning scenery and rich dinosaur fossil history. Continue to Calgary for a two-night stay.
Day 5 (7/10 - Thurs) Today is Calgary Stampede Day! Enjoy the rodeo and an evening show featuring the famous chuck wagon races—an exhilarating event that has been a staple since 1923. Experience the grand outdoor performance with singers, dancers, and pyrotechnics.
Day 6 (7/11 - Fri) Arrive in Banff, a gorgeous town nestled among Tunnel Mountain. Enjoy a relaxing lake cruise and a hosted dinner. Overnight in a nearby town.
Day 7 (7/12 - Sat) Visit Lake Louise, one of the most picturesque and photographed lakes in Western Canada. Explore Lake Peyto and take a tour on the Ice Explorer to walk on the Columbia Icefield.
Day 8 (7/13 - Sun) Travel through the Canadian Rockies on Trans-Canada #1 to Revelstoke, with stops in Golden for sightseeing. Visit a ghost town before spending the night.
Day 9 (7/14 - Mon) Visit Kamloops Wildlife Park, home to rescued animals, then continue to Chilliwack for the night.
Day 10 (7/15 - Tues) Return home with a stop at Blue Heron Area and Interpretive Center.
