We start with a visit to Tulip Town. Tulip Town offers indoor tulip displays and outdoor display gardens as well as acres of fields that feature an amazing variety of tulips. Tulip Town is a very popular spot to visit, and justifiably so. Not only can you walk around a sea of blooming tulips (in season), you can also take advantage of their gift and bulb shops and snack bars. Weather permitting, there is a free trolley ride around the area. After lunch on your own we head for Roozengaarde. Washington Bulb Company (Roozengaarde) was founded by Dutch emigrants William and Helen Roozen in 1955. Established with only 5 acres of land, the Roozen family now farms nearly 2,000 acres (including 1000 acres for tulips, daffodils and irises) in addition to growing fresh-cut flowers under 15 acres of greenhouse space.
