Relaxing Winter Beach Get-Away

We do this trip every year and it is favorite! The perfect time to visit the beach is in January! There are no crowds, the weather is often nice, there may be “goodies” on the beach (especially if it has been stormy), and it is a nice way to have a break from that “cabin fever”. Enjoy a beautiful hotel in a great location, and an ocean view from every room, as well as some special stops. There is a glass blowing shop in town and last year we were able to make our own glass objects (for a price). Call if you would be interested in this and we can try and set it up for this year.

Day 1
Our motor coach will pick you up and we are off to the Salem area where we will stop at a restaurant for lunch on your own. We will head to our hotel (Inn at Spanish Head). Those that want to do the glass blowing, we will schedule for this afternoon. Enjoy your evening, we will run a dinner shuttle.

Day 2
This morning is your chance to enjoy the beach and the hotel. We will make a trip to Newport where you can take in their fabulous aquarium. Dinner is on your own so we will run an optional shuttle to the Chinook Winds Casino where you can get dinner and do some gambling if you choose.

Day 3
Bring your bags to the motor coach for the trip home. The Tillamook Creamery is up the road a bit so don’t forget that wonderful ice cream and cheese, plus they have a variety of other items in the gift shop. Just five minutes up the road is a nice stop to pick up sausage, pepperoni, and etc. at the Country Smoker. We will make a lunch stop on the way home.
